Ian is an extremely talented rider with great feel and empathy towards his horses. He has the ability to quickly adapt to the different needs of every horse he rides and that is an amazing quality to have. These attributes along with a hard work ethic and dedication to the sport at the top levels gives Ian a fantastic capability of producing horses to a high standard ensuring he achieves the absolute best out of each and every one of his horses. Ian is a very talented and empathetic rider. He works extremely hard with each of his horses to understand and improve its way-of-going in training in order to maximise its long-term potential and results in competition. His riding style is very soft and light whilst still being effective, allowing his horses to naturally express themselves in their work. Despite already being one of Ireland’s most successful event riders, Ian is always looking to improve both himself and his horses and has a very bright future ahead of him in the sport.
